Chris Magrath, Magrath Sheldrick LLP

Chris Magrath is the senior partner of Magrath Sheldrick LLP, a firm that he established 29 years ago, and is the head of the immigration and employment law departments.

Mr Magrath is a practising English solicitor and a member of the New York Bar. He has over 30 years of cross-border experience in corporate and private UK and US immigration. He also assists clients from the global financial community, as well as representing commercial clients and international business brands. He is a director of British American Business Inc.

Mr Magrath has lectured extensively on immigration and employment issues in the UK, the United States and Europe. With his expertise in both immigration and employment law, Mr Magrath advises and acts on a wide spectrum of legal matters, ranging from day-to-day HR problems to addressing major transactional and strategic issues for multinational clients. He has extensive knowledge of the points-based system in the United Kingdom.

Mr Magrath's previous publications include Working in the United Kingdom: A Guide to UK Immigration Law for Overseas Nationals and A Practical Guide to Disciplinary, Grievance and Performance Management.

Ben Sheldrick, Magrath Sheldrick LLP

Ben Sheldrick is managing partner at Magrath Sheldrick LLP, one of the UK's leading immigration practices. Mr Sheldrick focuses principally on corporate and business immigration issues for multinational companies, investors, entrepreneurs and international business people.

Mr Sheldrick is recognised as a leading UK expert in a number of legal guides. He has contributed to the implementation and development of the UK's points-based system by organising and chairing stakeholder meetings with Home Office officials and directors of policy.

Mr Sheldrick enjoys lecturing on immigration issues for organisations such as BPP Professional Development, Central Law Training and the Immigration Law Practitioner's Association. He has contributed to a number of legal publications.
